AICIVSIM / Visualizer

3D Experiences

Three ways to see the civilization network — a flagship 3D visualizer, an AI-powered knowledge explorer, and an immersive WebXR experience.

01

What It Is

A real-time 3D network graph that maps the six civilizational operating systems — their health, their interdependencies, and their response to four divergent policy futures.

The AI Civilization Simulator models six domains: climate, governance, workforce transition, civilization health, simulation engine, and strategy. Each page on this site explores one domain in depth. The Visualizer renders all six simultaneously as an interconnected 3D network — a single view of the entire system.

Nodes orbit a central Civilization Index. Connections between them carry weighted influence — a governance failure propagates differently than a climate tipping point. The visualization makes these dynamics tangible.

What You Can Do

4

Scenarios

Switch between Aggressive Action, Moderate Reform, Business as Usual, and Worst Case. Watch every node scale, pulse, and recolor in response. The ambient soundscape shifts from harmonic consonance to dissonant drift.

50

Year Timeline

Scrub from 2026 to 2075. Charts split into solid past and dashed future. Scores interpolate year-by-year. A narrative panel summarizes the state of the world at any point on the timeline.

6

System Overrides

Lock any individual system to its own scenario — independent of the global state. See how one domain in crisis (or in recovery) shifts the aggregate score and the health of every connected system.

03

How It Works

3D Network

Six system nodes orbit a central composite index. Each node’s size, spin speed, color saturation, and opacity are driven by its health score. Connections between nodes carry directional, weighted influence — brighter and thicker when the link is strong, faded when weak.

Cosmic Symphony

Each system has a unique audio voice tuned to a note in a Cmaj9 chord. When healthy, the voices synchronize into a consonant, harmonized soundscape. As systems deteriorate, vibrato increases, pitch drifts, and rhythmic pulses desynchronize — an auditory signal that the system is fracturing.

Smooth Transitions

All visual and audio changes use exponential easing. Switching scenarios doesn’t snap — it morphs. Node scales, colors, bloom intensity, fog, rotation speed, and audio parameters all interpolate continuously toward their targets.

Data-Driven

The visualizer pulls its metrics and timeseries data from the same shared data layer that powers every dashboard on this site. Update a scenario projection in the data source and the 3D view, charts, and world-state narratives all reflect the change automatically.

Controls Reference

Mouse / Touch

Click a node — fly the camera in and open the system detail panel with charts, scores, and override controls.

Click again — deselect and fly back to overview.

Double-click a node — navigate to its full dashboard page.

Drag — orbit the camera freely around the scene.

Scroll — zoom in and out.

Keyboard Shortcuts

1 – 4 — switch scenario (Aggressive, Moderate, BAU, Worst).

M — toggle sound on/off.

Esc — deselect node and return to overview.

Left / Right arrows — step through the timeline year by year.

Three Ways to Experience the Data

FLAGSHIP

3D Network Visualizer

The core experience. Six system nodes orbit a central Civilization Index with 3-layer nested sub-nodes, 42 weighted cross-system connections, scenario-driven timeline (2026–2050), floating chart overlays, a World State narrative panel, comparison mode, and a cosmic symphony audio layer that harmonizes when systems are healthy and fractures when they fail.

Sound on recommended. Works on desktop and mobile. Requires WebGL. Best in fullscreen.
